Miriam Feuersinger impresses with her resonant voice, which is made for baroque music. Her special love belongs to religious music, especially to the music of Bach.
Already during her childhood, the Austrian soprano Miriam Feuersinger discovered her love for singing. After comprehensive musical training at the music school in her home town of Bregenz, she went on to professional voice training at the State Conservatory in Feldkirch/A, subsequently joining the class of Prof. Kurt Widmer at the Music College in Basel, where she passed her performer’s examination with honors in spring, 2005.
Her great love, in both music and content, is for the cantatas and passions of J.S. Bach, as is evidenced by her numerous concerts involving his works. She is initiating an own Bach-cantata-series in Vorarlberg / Austria (www.bachkantaten.at). Further notable emphases in her artistic work lie in the broad spectrum of sacred music from the Baroque to Late Romanticism and German Lied.
A specialist in Baroque music, she has been much in demand with International Baroque-ensembles and has sung for renowned conductors such as Rudolf Lutz, Ton Koopman, Vaclav Luks and Laurent Gendre.
Her first solo CD with soprano cantatas by Christoph Graupner received the „Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik 2/2014“ and the „ECHO Klassik 2014“. The latest solo CD including soprano cantatas of Bach, Kuhnau and Graupner is called „Herzens-Lieder“.
Miriam Feuersinger has twice been a prize-winner at the Ernst Göhner Foundation. More information on current concerts, project and CD recordings is available on her homepage, www.Miriam-Feuersinger.info.
