Katharina Persicke studied in Dresden and she has won prizes in both the "Schubert und die Musik der Moderne" Competition in Graz and the "Queen Sonja" Competition in Oslo. In 2016 she sang her opera debut in Bayreuth as Klingsor's Zaubermädchen and she is equally present on the concert stage.

Following her studies, Katharina Persicke established herself quickly as a singer in the European scene, and possesses one of the most fascinating voices of her generation. Since 2005 she has worked with the Belcanto specialist Stefan Heselhoff (Basel), who has been responsible for moulding her artistically.She was awarded prizes by the Schubert Competition in Graz and the Queen Sonia Competition in Oslo and has attended Masterclasses hosted by Peter Schreier, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Varady, Catherine Malfitano, and Anne Lebozec.
Persicke has performed her opera roles (such as Pamina, Figaro Contessa, and Faust's Marguerite, to name a few) in a gamut of venues including "die Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden", the Stadttheater Freiburg, Staatstheater Oldenburg, Theater Baden b.Wien, Theater Augsburg and the Teatro Real Madrid. For a period of time spanning several years, she impressed the audiences and press alike as Pamina at the Herrenchiemsee. She has collaborated with conductors like Andris Nelsons, Hartmut Haenchen, Thomas Hengelbrock, Sylvain Cambreling, Rubén Dubrovski, Will Humburg,Vasily Petrenko, Kevin Edusei, and Enoch zu Guttenberg.
Her artistic partners have included the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, SWR SO Freiburg- Baden Baden, the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hannover, Münchner Philharmoniker, die Bochumer Sinfoniker, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Halle, die Münchner Symphoniker, the Amaryllis Quartet, as well as the pianists Pauliina Tukiainen und Nicholas Rimme. Her passion for song cycle yielded to the Soprano achieving an extraordinarily unique accolade, in that she brought the "Lieder" series "Klangwerk Lied" under the patronage of Irwin Gage into being.
Katharina Persicke's musical output has been documented through many CD recordings.Her solo CDs include the 2013 Coviello Classics CD release "Mirrors" with songs by Jean Sibelius and Kaija Saariaho, plus the 2014 release "Proses lyriques" (also under the Coviello Classics label) featuring compositions by A.Berg, C.Debussy, and R.Wagner. In the Autumn of 2015, these successes were followed up by the label Genuin in the form of an Album of Richard Stauss songs entitled "Ruhe, Meine Seele".
Respectively in 2016, Katharina Persicke made her Debut at the "Bayreuther Festspielen" as Klingsor's Zaubermädchen (glamour girl) in the new production realized by Uwe Eric Laufenberf under the baton of conductor Andris Nelsons.Since the 2016/17 season, she is a member of "Ensemble des Staatstheaters Darmstadt. Throughout the season she is bringing life to the roles of Fiordiligi (Mozart, Cosi fan tutte), Micaela (Bizet, Carmen),Marguerite (Gounod, Faust) and Jenufa (Janaček, Jenufa). Also in 2017 and 2018 the Soprano will be seen on stage as a flower maiden in Bayreuth's "Festspielen".
